HOP ON THE BUS WITH US!
Please join Texas Gun Rights and True Texas Project for a day of activism at the Capitol during the 89th Session of the Texas Legislature. Once each month, TXGR will host a bus to transport activists from a different TTP Satellite area to the Capitol. Whether you’re experienced, or new at this, it’s a great time together, riding the bus together, and doing important work together.
For this trip, departures will be from Beaumont, TX or Katy, TX. The bus trips are free but you MUST RSVP! Check the True Texas Project Calendar for other dates and details for buses from other areas of the state. There will be one each month of session.
LUNCH IS INCLUDED!

RESERVE YOUR SEAT HERE
Please do not reserve a seat unless you are committed to going! Every empty seat is a missed opportunity for another person. And if you reserve a seat and then find you cannot go, contact Fran Rhodes at [email protected] to cancel. Thanks to Texas Gun Rights for generously financing these buses. We can’t afford to have empty seats!
Beaumont/Katy Area Bus Trip – Tuesday, Jan 14, 2024 (Opening Day of the Legislative Session)
Original Departure times will be strictly observed. Don’t be late!
Stopover departure times are approximate and will depend on traffic conditions. Be early!
When you arrive at the Capitol, you’ll meet up with Chris McNutt, TXGR President and Fran Rhodes, TTP President to receive assignments for the day involving both TXGR and TTP priorities. Those might include talking to key lawmakers or their staff about specific issues/bills; testifying at committee hearings (if you’re up for it); registering for or against bills at the kiosks; distributing position papers to lawmakers; or writing cards to committee members.
If this is your first time doing activism at the Capitol, don’t worry! We’ll pair you up with experienced people and show you the ropes. We will never leave you alone to figure it out. We love helping citizens engage in government!
See you at the Capitol!
