Tarrant County, the original home of True Texas Project, has been setting the standard for conservative politics in Texas for over a decade. Remember, we replaced four State Reps with tea party candidates right off the bat, including ringleader Jonathan Stickland, and we still boast two of the top five State Reps in the House, Tinderholt and Schatzline. Southlake led the charge in getting rid of CRT. Keller is leading the fight against property taxes. And Grapevine/Colleyville ISD is winning school board elections. They tried to tell us we were purple and that Beto could win Tarrant County. Not only did we NOT elect Beto, but we DID elect the bulldog Tim O’Hare for County Judge and tough-as-nails Phil Sorrells for DA. The two of them, along with Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn,  are pushing back against voter fraud and making good on other campaign promises as well.

You know what they say… “as goes Texas, so goes America”, but it is TARRANT COUNTY that pushes Texas to the Right. We are proud to stand strong and continue to lead the way. Join us for a conversation with these three men making it happen. THIS is what winning  is supposed to look like. Take note!

*This event will also be live-streamed to our Facebook page!

About Tim O’Hare:
ohare.jpgA fifth-generation Texan and lifelong resident of the DFW area, Tim O’Hare has devoted his career to improving our community: advocating for the safety and economic growth of cities, mentoring local youth, helping elect leaders who stand for conservative principles, and building a strong future for Tarrant County and all of North Texas. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Finance, Tim went on to earn his law degree from the SMU School of Law. In addition to his extensive community service, he has spent the last 25 years building a successful legal practice and real estate investment company. Tim founded his own law firm in 2001, serving clients across the DFW area. Since that time, he has been named an AV/Preeminent rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, the nation’s oldest and most respected attorney rating service. He has earned the title of “Texas Super Lawyer” nine consecutive years, and has been named one of the top lawyers in Texas Monthly numerous times.

Deeply committed to his community, Tim had a strong desire to serve his neighbors on an even more impactful level. He became a City Councilman in Farmers Branch for three years, before serving as Mayor from 2008 to 2011. During his two terms in office, he spearheaded reductions in government spending that resulted in millions of dollars of annual taxpayer savings and reduced the city’s unfunded pension liability by almost $20 million… all while keeping the city’s $90 million budget balanced.

In Tarrant County, he has consistently proven that he is a strong leader in uncertain times. He has played a critical role in electing honest, consistent and reliable leaders across Tarrant County since 2016. Tim understands that for individuals and families to flourish, more money needs to be in their pockets—not in the hands of government.

Throughout his nearly 30-year career, Tim has demonstrated leadership on many other fronts, as well. In 2013, Tim was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the State Board of Dental Examiners to help clean up Medicaid fraud in the dental industry. In 2018, Sheriff Bill Waybourn appointed him Chairman of the Tarrant County Civil Service Commission. He formerly served on the National Board of Directors for the Christian Legal Society (CLS) and their Center for Religious Freedom Committee, where he started a high school outreach/mentoring program in an inner-city high school.

Tim and his wife Christen live in Southlake, where he coaches his daughters in Youth Rec sports. They are the proud parents of four beautiful little girls and are members of First Baptist Grapevine, where he is a Deacon. Together, Tim and Christen have served as Sunday School teachers and in the Children’s Ministry for over thirteen years.

Tim was elected Tarrant County Judge on November 8, 2022 and took the Oath of Office on January 1, 2023.

About Phil Sorrells:
Phil Sorrells is the conservative Republican Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney. A fifth-generation Texan, Phil believes criminal behavior should have consequences. Community standards in Tarrant County are tough.

As Judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court Number 10 for 25 years, Phil Sorrells has decided thousands of cases, and his docket is the lowest in the county. Phil resigned his bench to campaign for District Attorney.

Prior to being elected judge, Phil was an Assistant District Attorney, working every day to assure that criminals are punished for crimes they commit. An experienced felony prosecutor trying cases from theft to murder, Phil learned how to use the laws passed by our legislature to ensure maximum jail time for the violent, career criminals that prey upon our families.

Phil Sorrells supports law enforcement. Officers will know he has their backs. He will fight to make our officers a priority in every local jurisdiction in the county. In Tarrant County, we do not defund the police – we support the police.

Sorrells knows that illegal immigration is not just a problem on the border. It impacts Tarrant County. Joe Biden’s reckless policies have allowed human and drug trafficking to go unchecked. Sorrells will aggressively prosecute criminal conduct by illegal aliens and will make every effort to detain them until they are deported.

Across America, crime rates are soaring. The next District Attorney for Tarrant County must be a tough and experienced advocate for the citizens. As the chief law enforcement officer in the county, the District Attorney is responsible for the citizens’ safety. The buck stops there. Phil Sorrells will be a tough advocate for the people.

Phil earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Texas Tech University before joining the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. Phil and his wife, Susan, have three grown children and live in North Richland Hills. Together they are active members of North Richland Hills Baptist Church.

About Bill Waybourn:

Bill was born just across the border of Texas in a small town called Jal, New Mexico.  He grew up cowboying and working ranches during the summer.

Bill started his career of service in 1978 when he joined the United States Air Force.  After serving his active duty, he moved into the active reserves and began focusing on law enforcement.

As a Texas Police Officer, Bill demonstrated exceptional leadership and unwavering integrity.  Because of these traits, Bill was appointed Chief of Public Safety at the age of 24 – Making him the youngest Chief in the State of Texas.  He held that position for 30 years before running for and becoming Sheriff of Tarrant County.

Bill was elected Sheriff of Tarrant County and took office on January 1, 2017.  As Sheriff he stated his vision was to make the Tarrant County SO the best Sheriff’s Office in the country.  He wanted to empower the noble people that were working at the Sheriff’s Office to be the line between good and evil.  Sheriff Waybourn created new divisions to fill the gaps in the agency.  Bill created the Human Trafficking Division and the Intelligence Division.  Both of these units have been paramount in protecting the residents of Tarrant County and have worked tirelessly to save lives here in Tarrant County, throughout the State of Texas, and across the country!  These and many other divisions are now leading the way for national programs to stem the tide of evil before it destroys more people.

Bill has built relationships with local, state, and national agencies.  Giving our Deputies and Chiefs the ability to work side by side with law enforcement from across the nation. Some of them are; The Federal Bureau of Investigations, the United States Secret Service, the Department of Homeland Security, the Texas Rangers, and many other law enforcement agencies.

Another priority that Bill worked to expand is re-entry services.  He increased the programs for inmates inside the facility as well as created opportunities for inmates outside the jail to help them re-enter society.  All with the goal of lowering the recidivism rates in Tarrant County.  He has worked to build relationships throughout the community, with local pastors and community leaders, and was proud to create the first annual Christmas for Children of the Incarcerated in 2019.  That program provided Christmas presents for over 800 children who either had parents incarcerated, or who were recently released.  Bill has worked every day in office to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community while never losing sight of the mission to stand between evil and good.

Bill is married to his wonderful wife Laura and has 10 children.  2 biological and 8 adopted.  He has been a coach, a scout leader, a leader in church and at various non-profits.  Bill and Laura are advocated for adoption and protecting children.

Bill is a graduate of the Texas A&M Police Academy and holds a Masters Police Certificate, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a Masters Degree in Conflict Management*, a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and over 4,700 hours of police training above and beyond the formal training already mentioned.  Bill has taught at College and Police Institutes covering; criminal justice, firearms, self defense, and criminal procedure.  He has been an expert witness in criminal trials.
