This month at True Texas Project we will be hearing an update from several activists about the 89th legislative session in Texas. We will learn about efforts to protect the family unit, presented by Kaden Lopez, executive director of Texas Family Project. We will hear about what this organization is doing to promote and protect our natural rights as families and parents both in the public and private sector. Then we will get an update from Rebecca Hardy, President of Texans for Vaccine Choice, about medical freedom and protecting our rights to participate in regular society, regardless of your vaccine status. Lastly we will have an overview from our very own Fran Rhodes, the President of True Texas Project, who has been at the Capitol countless times this session advocating for smaller government and conservative priorities relentlessly.

About Kaden Lopez:
Kaden Lopez, Executive Director of Texas Family Project, has dedicated his life to fighting for families. As a California teen in high school, Kaden advocated for pro-family policies on social media where he amassed over 100,000 followers for his views. Living in California challenged Kaden to really figure out what he believed. Because of social media, Kaden was able to reach the masses to educate them about what was happening in public schools and warn people about the direction society was headed.
Kaden knew he wanted to dedicate his career to this movement. He moved to Texas where he worked on various political campaigns before joining TFP. Before he was officially on staff, Kaden helped TFP by attending drag shows and leftist political functions undercover in order to expose the corruption of these events to a larger audience.
Kaden is married and lives in the Fort Worth area. He enjoys watching football and spending time with his family.
About Rebecca Hardy:
As a speech-language pathologist, Rebecca has encountered many children with profound vaccine injuries. These experiences created a passion for protecting others from these kinds of negative health outcomes, which she has turned into activism. Rebecca is one of the original three founders of TFVC and has been working to grow this organization from when it was only an idea. She currently serves as President, overseeing all departments and the trajectory of the vaccine choice movement in Texas. Rebecca is dedicated to protecting medical liberties and informed consent for all Texans. Rebecca and her husband Tim have two daughters.
About Fran Rhodes:
Currently serving as President of True Texas Project, Fran Rhodes first became interested in politics when Obama was elected. She attended a tax day rally in 2009, and joined several grassroots groups, subscribing to their online newsletters. Fran started attending NE Tarrant Tea Party meetings in the summer of 2009. In 2010, she took on leadership of the Volunteer Liaison program, and in 2013, established the Citizen Advocate program. In 2014 Fran joined the Board of NE Tarrant Tea Party, and in 2016 became Vice President. When NETTP re-branded and relaunched into True Texas Project, in 2019, Fran was promoted to President and now is helping to lead the organization and grow the grassroots army in Texas. Fran’s passion for this service comes from a desire to actually make a difference, influence what goes on in our government, and really make our voices heard. According to Fran, “Even when we don’t get the outcomes we want, people see that we show up, we put in the time, we do the work, and we are not going away!”
Fran holds a BA in Business Management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, and is retired from a career in sales and marketing in the office furniture industry. Originally from Illinois, Fran got to Texas as soon as she could. She considers herself a Texan, after 3 decades of living in the Lone Star State, and is passionate about fighting for liberty in Texas. When Fran is not fighting for legislation, speaking to others about activism, or organizing the latest TTP special event, she is an active member of her church choir, and enjoys sewing, quilting and gardening.
