Legislative Priorities: 90th Session of the Texas House & Senate

Protect Life & The Innocence of Children

  • Support legislation that provides equal protection under the law to unborn children. Similar to HB2197, 89 (R)
  • Ensure current abortion laws are followed and violations are prosecuted
  • Make adoption more accessible and affordable
  • Protect families’ and individuals’ rights to make end of life decisions
  • Provide strict enforcement of laws that prohibit gender modification of children, inappropriate materials in libraries, drag queen shows for children, and other measures that protect the innocence of children
  • Promote a traditional, classical style of education using traditional curriculum materials without Islamic influence

CORE BELIEF: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, RULE OF LAW, FAMILY VALUES

Stop Sharia Practices & End the Muslim Dominance of Texas Communities

  • Support and encourage the Sharia-Free Caucus in the Texas House
  • Ban all Sharia law and practice in Texas
  • Shut down all state funds to individuals & organizations working against Texas & our Constitution
  • Investigate & expose financial contributors and networks
  • Deny Texas Education Freedom Account funds to Islamists; close legislative loopholes

CORE BELIEF:  RULE OF LAW, CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE, FAMILY VALUES

Ensure Responsible Financial Stewardship

  • Ban taxpayer-funded lobbying
  • Pass responsible budgets that cut spending; stop expanding government
  • Find a substitute for property taxes; put Texas on a path to eliminate property taxes
  • Address the inequities of the school funding formula; repeal Robin Hood
  • Repeal Corporate Welfare (Chapter 403 – old Chapter 313)

Enhance Texas Sovereignty / End Government Overreach

  • Enhance existing laws to stop the unauthorized flow of people & products across Texas’s southern border
  • Support legislation that limits H1-B Visas, and prosecutes & investigates fraud in the system
  • Extend mandatory E-Verify to private companies
  • Tax remittances from Texas to foreign countries
  • Support legislation that creates the Border Protection Unit within the Dept of Public Safety, similar to HB 354, 89(R)
  • Ensure all Texans have medical freedom to give or withhold consent for any vaccine or medical treatment without coercion or discrimination

CORE BELIEF: CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE, RULE OF LAW, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, STATE/NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY, FREEDOM

Ensure Texas Elections Are Fair, Transparent, & Honest

  • Pass legislation for closed primary elections; make municipal elections partisan
  • Reduce the early voting period; enforce SB2753 89(R) which closes the gap between early voting & election day.
  • Require paper ballots that are sequentially numbered and that can be stored and verified

Protect Texas Land, Water, & Infrastructure

  • Stop subsidies of unreliable energy sources; improve opportunities for reliable sources
  • Harden the electric grid system with new insulation & security technology; ensure affordable energy sources for all Texans
  • Study water resources and allocation; pass legislation accordingly to ensure all Texans have access to clean, reliable sources of water
  • Evaluate the effects of large data centers, BESS systems, and other situations that stress water and power supplies, and recommend legislation or best practices
  • Protect TX Citizens from unconstitutional federal environmental regulations

End Predatory Gambling in Texas

  • Abolish the Texas Lottery
  • Ensure existing gambling laws are enforced
  • Promote educational efforts to teach the dangers of predatory gambling
