Tarrant: Garden Growers Co-op

April 5, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm CDT

Creating a Suburban Oasis for Pollinators
Join us for a special presentation by Teddi Zonker, a dynamic butterfly enthusiast who is Vice President of Cross Timbers Master Naturalists and a Tarrant County Master Gardener. Teddi is dedicated to educating others on the importance of pollinator spaces and showing how simple and enjoyable it is to enhance your own backyard. Bees, butterflies and other pollinators are essential to successful gardening. In this informative session, you’ll learn about:
– The best plants for your landscape and the roles of host and nectar plants
– Common butterflies and beneficial insects native to North Texas
– Designing with beneficial native and drought-tolerant plants
– Helpful resources and information for creating your own oasis
Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your landscape and support our vital pollinators!
For newcomers, our Garden Growers Co-op meetings are informal times of sharing, so they’re great opportunities for new and experienced gardeners to get together, learn from each other, make friends and have fun! Our purpose is food freedom—gaining greater independence from corporations for our food. We hope you’ll join us!

When: Saturday, April 5 at 3 p.m.
Please RSVP to Diane Velasco at [email protected]
