Resolutions To Ban Sharia at Conventions
Last week our message was about voting for Ballot Proposition 10 – Ban Sharia Law in Texas, and we encouraged you to participate in the Republican Party conventions and submit resolutions on this issue.
So, this week, I’m sending some sample resolutions for you to use as a guide.
Reminder: Precinct Conventions will happen shortly after March 3rd Primary Election. They might be at the precinct polling place after voting closes, or they might be at another location on another day. Check with your County GOP to know when and where your precinct convention will be held.
Senate District (or County) Conventions will happen a few weeks after the primary election. Most will be on March 28, but be sure to check with your County GOP to be sure of the date, time and location.
State Convention is in Houston June 8 – 13. You must attend precinct and SD/County conventions to be nominated to State Convention.
Sample Resolutions: These samples are collected from various sources. They are intended as a starting point for you to draft your own resolutions. TTP does not necessarily support the exact wording or the content of these resolutions. Use your own judgement!

Suggested Resolutions for Platform changes and additions
Remember – there is no magic resolution. It’s good to put things into your own words. The more and varied resolutions received on this issue, the more likely it will get passed up the chain to State Convention which is our goal. Having a lot of different worded resolutions with the same message (ban sharia in Texas), is the best way, so don’t copy and paste too much.
Another issue that True Texas Project will champion is a push-back against gambling in Texas, starting with eliminating the Texas Lottery. Next week, I hope to have sample resolutions on that subject. Stay tuned!
Thanks for staying engaged! I’ll see y’all at Convention.
