Last month we kicked off the show in Jefferson/Orange county with some big energy, this month we will host Shelly Luther! Shelly is the local hair salon owner who became an overnight hero when she opened her shop and put her employees back to work during Abbott’s economic shutdown. Shelley Luther will speak on her new endeavors to help Texans regain their freedoms.
We will also have Tracy Shannon of MassResistance joining us, to talk to us about the transgender movement that is encroaching on the lives and minds of our young children. At True Texas Project, we believe that once you hear the truth, you are compelled to action. Come learn with us, and help us grow our army!

About Shelly Luther:
Shelley Luther, a former school teacher, mother of two, successful singer, and owner of Salon a la Mode was living the American dream. When the government responded to the covid pandemic with overreaching mandates that shut down her business, she stood up for her family, her stylists, and the rights of all small business owners and citizens. Her refusal to apologize to a tyrannical judge for her being selfish and wanting to feed her children landed her in jail and thrust her into the international spotlight. With an enlightened sense of the current political climate, and a desire to use her platform for positive change, Shelley ran for Texas state senate; winning the jungle election, but losing the runoff in a campaign that featured Governor Greg Abbott, the same official who’s mandates put her in jail, spending millions of dollars and personally endorsing her opponent to keep her from going to Austin and exposing the legislative swamp that has taken root. Shelley also went on to found the charitable organization Courage to Stand, which was designed to help small business owners and others get back on their feet, and now produces a weekly video podcast that celebrates ordinary people that have done extraordinary things in their lives, sharing their defining moments with others, in hopes that this encouragement will stimulate a wave of good works that can help heal our nation and reinvigorate the human spirit.
About Tracy Shannon:
Tracy Shannon is the mother of 4 blessings and a grandmother. She has studied what she calls the “neo-morality movement” for 20 years. Tracy’s family was profoundly impacted by the transgender movement many years ago, and that moved Tracy from the sidelines (merely protecting her own children from being inducted into “new” sexual mores) and onto the battlefront in the culture wars.
Tracy has taken on Drag Queen Story Hours in Texas and across the country. She exposed how libraries determined to introduce children to adult entertainers and transsexuals disregarded their own policies allowing sex offenders to be held out as role models to young children in taxpayer-funded public libraries. As the Texas Director for MassResistance, Tracy led Texas parents in pushing back against the debauched drag queen program for children as young as four. She has also contributed to research of the programs across the nation and helped parents in several states push back against this programming. Tracy has studied the trajectory of the transgender movement and transgender medicine for 20 years. She has observed a rise in children transitioning and a relaxing of the already loose and unsound “standards’ in transgender medicine. Tracy says, “The origins of sex change started with unethical research on children decades ago and has come full circle to the unethical treatment of minors with puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.” Tracy had been a guest on American Family Radio and conservative media where she discusses the need for safeguarding children and the latest threats to traditional family values. Her personal experiences with the transgender issue as well as her investigative work has been published in conservative and Christian publications in the United States as well as abroad.
