SUMMARY:2026: Year of the Patriot Conference - DFW
DESCRIPTION:We’re calling 2026 “The Year of the Patriot” for good reason. With the nation’s 250th birthday\, plus midterm elections\, we know True Texans are engaged and excited! \nThe second of our two Year of the Patriot conferences will be held on August 1 in Fort Worth\, Texas! This conference is packed with expert speakers on timely topics you’re gonna want to hear. We’re covering immigration\, the Islamization of Texas\, and how to be an activist at all levels of government\, among other things! All this (plus lunch!) is packed into one great day! As you can see\, we’ve got it all! And the best part is you’ll be surrounded by the best patriots Texas has to offer. Iron sharpens iron\, so this is the place to be. \n\nSaturday\, August 1st\, 2026\nBirchman Baptist Church\, 9100 N Normandale St\, Fort Worth\, TX 76116\nRegister HERE\n \nWe’re excited to announce our schedule below! \n\n8:00am – registration\n8:30-9:20am – choose from the following breakout sessions:\n\nStrategy For Stopping Islam: Training on Finance & Regulatory Gaps An expert panel discusses legal ways to curb the Islamification of Texas by utilizing existing laws and regulations (Tip: if you miss this session\, don’t miss the session with Andy Hopper at the end of the day!) – Erin O’Loughlin\, financial crimes specialist\, with State Rep Andy Hopper\, and State Rep Brent Money\nThe Knack of Tact: Making a Point Without Making an Enemy Whether it be at home\, at work\, in the grocery store\, or even at church\, political conversations can get heated\, and we’ve all lost friends over our political stances. Come learn practical advice on how to communicate more effectively. – Kelli Lawrence\, Women’s Pastor at First Baptist Grapevine\nHistory Not Forgotten: US Immigration Policy and the Disaster of the 1965 Hart-Celler Act If you don’t know how we got into this mess\, how will you know how to get out? This session will give you a solid foundation regarding where America went wrong and what errors need to be corrected.- Ryan McCubbin\, True Texas Project Board of Directors\n\n\n\n\n9:30-10:20am – choose from the following breakout sessions:\n\nThe Church’s Response to Mass Immigration Does the Bible conflict with closed borders? Are we required to “welcome strangers”? – William Wolfe\, Founder of Center For Baptist Leadership\nLean Local: Hitting ‘Em Where It Counts Activist training on how to testify before all levels of government – Fran Rhodes (TTP Pres)\, Tammy Nakamura (former Colleyville City Council and former GCISD Board)\, Christina Drewry (Smith County Commissioner)\, and more\nBut What If It’s Legal! Texans are losing jobs to foreigners at alarming rates. What is the impact of legal immigration and the key laws that have gotten us to where we are… and where do we need to focus going forward? He will touch on both federal and state policy\, including the Immigration Acts of 1965 and 1990\, the H-1B and OPTS programs\, the ways companies scam the PERM process\, and more. – Chris Russo\, Texans for Strong Borders President\n\n\n\n\n10:30-11:20am – choose from the following breakout sessions:\n\nOurselves & Our Posterity: Protecting Our Legacy What is an “American”? Our country has our own culture\, laws\, and customs\, just like all other countries have. How did we get to the point today where it’s wrong to protect that? What does it mean to protect your legacy and preserve your heritage? Why is that acceptable to all countries except ours? Let’s flip the conversation on its end and reclaim what is rightfully ours. – CJay Engel\, writer\, podcaster\, and Christian nationalist figure\nMake Parenting Great Again: Raising Liberty Lovers In A World Of Chaos Our culture at large is a socially-engineered psy-op laboratory designed to normalize tyranny and make us forget liberty. Even homeschooling cannot ensure your children will embrace your worldview. Home education is more about home government than curriculum. If you want your children to be go-along-to-get-along followers\, this session is NOT for you. If you want to know how to raise counter-cultural world-changers for Christ who will be able to stand for Truth in a culture of lies\, attend this presentation. If you have children or grandchildren\, homeschooled or not\, don’t miss this one. – Dr. Marlene McMillan\, author and international speaker\nCounter-Organize & Win! -The United States is in a period of low intensity conflict — and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. The decisive factor in every low intensity conflict in modern history has been organization or\, in some cases\, counter-organization. So\, the strategy forward is simple: organize your people and disorganize your opponents. That’s the formula. It’s worked on every continent and in every political context for the last eighty\nyears. Join former Intelligence NCO\, contractor\, and Iraq/Afghanistan veteran Mike Shelby as he breaks down the three lines of effort for winning the American future.\n– Mike Shelby\, founder of Forward Observer\n\n\n\n\n11:30-noon – Boxed lunches are served (included with every ticket)\n12:10-1:00pm – Need a break? Take this time to visit with friends\, or meet some new ones!\nOR\nJoin our Lunch-n-Learn featuring scholars from Rick Green’s Patriot Institute with Remember Us?: Role Models Worth Modeling After (Not Your Average Politicians!) – Today’s politicians go to church on Sunday\, then lie\, cheat\, and steal on Monday. Where are all the role models? We’ll find them in America’s history.\n\n\n1:10-2:00pm – choose from the following breakout sessions:\n\nThey Gotta Go Back: The Remigration Cure The White Papers Policy Institute is a team of analysts who work together to craft practical policy options that promote the interest of Western Peoples who seek self-determination and prosperity for their nations through remigration\, among other things. Their work includes the Remigration Act of 2025 for the United States\, and the British Remigration Policy Platform for the U.K. WPPI is the first institution to offer creative voluntary remigration incentives which work to mutually benefit both the West and the development of home countries to which these migrants will return. – Cyan Quinn\, White Papers Policy Institute Director\nNot In MY School: Stopping Child Sex Abuse in Texas ISDs The title says it all. New reports of sexual abuse of students by school staff come out every day\, in school districts of all sizes. We like to think\, “That wouldn’t happen in my school”… until it does. How will the new position of Inspector General root out the evil and restore safety for our kids? – Levi Fuller\, Inspector General of TEA (Texas Education Agency)\n\n\n\n\n2:10-3:00pm – choose from the following breakout sessions:\n\nChristianity & The Red/Green Alliance The devil is in the details! Come understand the threats of Sharia Law\, Totalitarianism & Communism facing our faith\, freedoms\, and way of life – State Sen. Bob Hall\, State Rep. Brent Money\, & Pastor Rafael Cruz\nThe Failure of Conservatism Come learn how mainstream conservatism became an unwitting ally to the progressive forces it was designed to combat – Paul Gottfried\, political philosopher\, professor\, historian\, writer\n\n\n\n\n3:10-4:00pm – choose from the following breakout sessions\n\nTexas Cartels: Think the wall is up\, the border is closed\, and everything is hunky-dory on the Texas border? Get a timely\, honest\, and accurate update on the various cartels operating in Texas. What’s happening\, and what’s needed? – Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd\nIslamization and TX Lege: There’s no single law or quick fix to stop Islam in Texas\, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing we can do. Definitely attend this session if you missed the morning session on Islam. – State Rep. Andy Hopper\n\n\n\n\n4:10-5:10pm – “It’s time for the Family Feud!” We worked hard… now we play hard! SUMMARY:Tarrant County: Rampant Abuse in Texas Public Schools
DESCRIPTION:It seems like every day there is a new\, horrifying headline about a high school teacher\, PE coach\, or school counselor getting caught in a child sex abuse scandal with one of their students. This is completely unacceptable and should give all of us pause when considering where we send our children for their education\, and with whom they will spend their time. Thankfully\, many are being exposed and punished\, but it seems their punishment is not great enough. Erin Anderson\, a senior journalist for Texas Scorecard\, has been reporting on these cases tirelessly and we’ve invited her here today to share about these tragic stories. Thankfully there are new laws in place that are supposed to be protecting our children in schools\, but the challenge we face is\, as always\, enforcement! Who is in charge of enforcing them\, and how can we be sure that is happening? Join us to learn more about this subject\, as well as what YOU can do to protect Texas schoolchildren. \nSpeaker: Erin Anderson\nMonday\, August 10th\nTexas Star Golf Course\, 1400 Texas Star Pkwy. Euless\, TX 76040\n6:00pm – Prayer gathering (open to all)\n6:30-8:00pm – meeting\nNo dues. No fees. No memberships. No RSVPs \nAbout Erin Anderson:\nErin Anderson is a Senior Journalist for Texas Scorecard\, reporting on state and local issues\, events\, and government actions that impact people in communities throughout Texas and the DFW Metroplex. A native Texan\, Erin grew up in the Houston area and now lives in Collin County. \n

James will be exposing TLR’s liberal agenda and educating activists on conservative legal policy. \nSpeaker: James Wesolek\nTuesday\, August 11th\nVFW Post 4692\, 794 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy. SUMMARY:Williamson County: Rev. Dr. Andrew Fox vs. City of Austin
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Andrew Fox created the chaplaincy program at the Austin Fire Department and served as the lead chaplain in a volunteer capacity for eight years\, earning the trust and respect of the firefighters. But after Dr. Fox shared his religious views on his personal blog\, city officials demanded he recant and apologize for the harm his blog post allegedly caused. He explained that his intent was to foster discussion\, not cause offense\, and apologized if anyone was offended. But his apology wasn’t good enough for Austin city officials who demanded total compliance with their political ideology\, and they forced Dr. Fox to turn in his uniform. SUMMARY:Collin County: Battling Woke & Weaponized Government
DESCRIPTION:Join us this month at True Texas Project to hear from Melissa Beckett\, a long time activist and political strategist\, Texas field director at Center for Renewing America\, and founder of Texas Education 911. Government institutions have largely become woke and weaponized bureaucracies. They often target American citizens who are living normal lives\, while allowing criminals to walk free. This can be seen at a federal and state level\, through all kinds of warrantless surveillance\, home raids\, and unnecessary law-fare\, and at a local level\, as we see with violent criminals being given light sentences and low bonds\, who often use their freedom to re-offend. Melissa Beckett is sharing how we can stand against this distortion of government and justice. Let’s put government back in it’s place: by the people\, and FOR the people. \n\nSpeaker: Melissa Beckett\nThursday\, August 13th\nTru By Hilton Allen/Dallas\, 1553 Central Expy N Allen\, TX 75013\n6:00pm –Prayer gathering (open to all)\n6:30-8:00pm –meeting\nNo dues. No RSVPs \n  \nAbout Melissa Beckett:\nMelissa Beckett is a conservative advocate\, policy strategist\, the Texas field director at Center for Renewing America\, and founder of Texas Education 911\, a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering parents and restoring accountability in public education. In recognition of her leadership and legislative advocacy\, Melissa received the Texas Scorecard Conservative Leader Award in 2023. \nMelissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance and brings a professional background in business\, finance\, commodity trading\, and data analysis. Her experience has equipped her with a strategic\, results-driven approach to identifying problems\, analyzing complex systems\, and developing practical solutions. She is passionate about advancing innovative public policy that protects taxpayers\, strengthens families\, and preserves individual liberty. \nOriginally from Kansas\, Melissa and her husband\, Jim\, moved to Texas shortly after graduating from college nearly 30 years ago. Today\, they proudly call East Texas home. Melissa and Jim have been married for 30 years and are the parents of three Texas-born sons: Noah\, Jack\, and Luke. SUMMARY:Cross Timbers: Republicans Against TLR
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve spent any amount of time looking into campaign finances for candidates in Texas\, then you are likely familiar with the PAC and/or nonprofit organization called Texans for Lawsuit Reform (or TLR PAC). Typically\, we take those donations as a glaring red flag\, and a sign that a candidate is generally quite liberal and/or backed by establishment “RINO’s”. Join us this month as we hear from James Wesolek\, the Executive Director of Republicans Against Texans for Lawsuit Reform (RATLR). James will be exposing TLR’s liberal agenda and educating activists on conservative legal policy. \nSpeaker: James Wesolek\nThursday\, August 20th\nLa Quinta Inn Granbury\, 880 Harbor Lakes Dr Granbury\, TX 76048\n12:30pm – Prayer gathering (open to all)\n1:00-2:30pm – meeting\nNo dues. No fees. No memberships. No RSVPs \nAbout James Wesolek:\nJames Wesolek serves as the Executive Director of Republicans Against Texans for Lawsuit Reform\, a nonprofit dedicated to exposing TLR’s liberal agenda. James\nis a happy warrior who has worked in both the halls of Congress and the pink dome in Austin. He has a gift for quickly and accurately breaking down complex bills and framing the implications clearly. James has been fighting for conservative policy in Austin since 2018 and has helped write\, refine\, and pass multiple pieces of legislation.\nHe has been married to his wife\, Caitlin\, for 10 years\, and they are raising their family in Austin\, which is almost as good as raising their family in Texas. SUMMARY:Katy Area: Predatory Gambling and Texas Taxpayers
DESCRIPTION:As the Texas population and economy grows\, there are many corporations\, lobbies\, and business interests with their eyes on that growth\, who are hoping to claim a slice. One of those interests is the predatory gambling lobby. There are BIG money corporations pushing hard to get our legislators to pass laws that will ease up on gambling in Texas. This lobby will tell you that gambling is “your right”\, that these casinos are just “luxury resorts”\, and that this is a “small government” issue\, when in reality\, we can look to other places who have allowed this practice and know exactly what the outcome is. We find increased crime and poverty\, increased prostitution and drug smuggling\, increased alcohol use\, family disruption\, addiction\, and so much more where gambling and casinos are allowed. Let’s welcome Destin Sensky\, as we learn about the reality of this dark money lobby\, the impact it will certainly have on Texas taxpayers\, and why we must focus on keeping them out of our state. \n\nSpeaker: Destin Sensky\nThursday\, August 20th\nMidway BBQ\, 6025 Hwy Blvd Katy\, TX 77494\n6:00pm –Prayer gathering (open to all)\n6:30-8:00pm –meeting\nNo dues. No fees. No memberships. No RSVPs\n\nAbout Destin Sensky:\nExecutive Director at Texans for Fiscal Responsibility\nDestin Sensky has served conservative causes for over 10 years\, including roles in the Texas Senate\, as a Capitol journalist\, and as a leader on campaigns across the state. Though a native of Tennessee\, he has called Texas home for over 18 years. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University\, where he studied Agricultural Economics\, Agribusiness\, and Political Science. He and his wife reside in Johnson County and are active members of Trinity River Baptist Church in Fort Worth. His deep roots in the community and commitment to conservative values align seamlessly with the goals of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility.
